Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and JetLatch ("JetLatch," "we," "us"). They govern your access to and use of the JetLatch mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use JetLatch

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using JetLatch you represent that you are 18 or older, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law. JetLatch is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, your login credentials, and all activity that happens under it. Keep your password secure and notify us at support@jetlatch.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You agree to provide accurate profile information and real photos of yourself, and not to impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.

3. How JetLatch works

JetLatch helps you connect with other members in two modes. Travel Mode helps you find and meet verified travelers during an airport layover based on the airport and time window you choose to share. Open to More helps you meet people near you when you are not traveling, within a distance you set. You control what you share, and you can edit or remove your information at any time in the app.

4. Tokens, subscriptions, and billing

  • Tokens are a virtual item used for priority actions such as sending an Instant Invite. Tokens have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
  • Matching and messaging after a mutual connection do not require tokens.
  • Paid plans (JetLatch Plus and Business Class) and token packs are sold and processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your purchase is also subject to those stores' terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings, not through JetLatch.
  • Except where required by law or by the applicable app store's policies, purchases are non-refundable.

5. Community standards

JetLatch is for respectful, real-world connection. You agree not to use the Service to harass, threaten, defraud, solicit, spam, or harm others; to post unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or misleading content; to solicit money or commercial services; or to violate any law. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

6. Meeting in person and assumption of risk

JetLatch helps people connect, but we do not conduct criminal background checks on members and we do not guarantee the identity, conduct, or intentions of anyone you meet. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Always meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and use your judgment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk arising from your interactions and meetings with other members.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and content you add. By posting content you grant JetLatch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other members. Some provisions survive termination, including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. JetLatch is not liable for the conduct of any member, online or offline. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JetLatch's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
