This Privacy Policy explains what information JetLatch ("we," "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the JetLatch app, website, and related services.

Information we collect

  • Profile information you provide: name, age, gender, photos, bio, occupation, home city, interests, and the kinds of connections you're looking for.
  • Location information used to power Travel Mode (airport / terminal matches) and Open to More (people near you). You control location permissions on your device.
  • Usage information: how you use the app, such as profiles you view, invites and messages you send, and features you use.
  • Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, and similar diagnostic data.
  • Purchase information: records of tokens and subscriptions. Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not collect or store your full card details.

How we use information

  • To create and manage your profile and account.
  • To show you relevant people and enable matches, invites, and messaging.
  • To process token and subscription purchases.
  • To keep the community safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service and develop new features.
  • To contact you about your account, security, and important updates.

Location

Location is used only to power the core features: in-terminal matching in Travel Mode and nearby matching in Open to More. We show approximate location (such as a neighborhood or distance), not your exact address, by default. You can turn off location access at any time in your device settings, though some features may stop working.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run JetLatch: with service providers who help us host, operate, and support the app (such as cloud hosting and app-store payment processing); to comply with law or valid legal requests; to protect the rights, safety, and security of members and the public; and in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. Your profile information is visible to other members as part of using the Service.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove your profile from the Service and delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we need to retain certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Your choices and rights

  • Edit or update your profile at any time in the app.
  • Control who can see you and your distance and discovery settings.
  • Manage location, notification, and photo permissions in your device settings.
  • Delete your account from Settings — this removes your profile from the Service.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data; contact us to make a request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and respond to issues promptly.

Children

JetLatch is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will remove it.

Cookies (website)

Our website uses only the minimal cookies needed to function. We do not use advertising trackers on the website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The "effective date" at the top shows when it was last updated.
